Our goal is to track the key transformations in Ukrainian art, particularly media, themes, interpretations, important names, (un)changing traditions and experiments.
Since 2010 the project has introduced 193 works by 138 authors and art groups from different cities of Ukraine - from Sumy to Odesa, from Lviv to temporary occupied Donetsk.
The Ukrainian Cross-Section analyzes continuity and dynamics of changes, the interaction of identities, and diversity in Ukrainian society and Ukrainian art.
The Ukrainian Cross-Section is the self-exploration and developing discourse in exhibitions, texts, discussions, perforative program, and engaging experts.
The Ukrainian Cross-Section is a way to tell the world about Ukraine through art. The five editions of the project had been introduced in Lublin, Wroclaw, Lviv, and Kaunas throughout fifteen years.
